Azul Beach Hotel

I recently had the luxury and pleasure of visiting a few of the Karisma group’s hotels in the Mayan Riviera. The chain boasts that they are Gourmet Inclusive – not just in food – but in ALL aspects of their properties. The adult only resorts are the El Dorado – which include El Dorado Royale El Dorado Maroma and El Dorado Seaside Suites. Their family resorts are Azul Beach Azul Sensatori and Azul Fives Hotel.
I am going to describe each resort that I had the opportunity to tour or (even better) spend a night or two at. First one is:

The Azul Beach Hotel is a boutique hotel with just 98 rooms – so you are never far from a pool, the beach or one of the 4 restaurants and bars. Your family will enjoy the 9 mile stretch of gorgeous beach at this resort. The personal attention, gourmet dining (for all ages!) and activities such as private picnics are just a few of the reasons you will find a stay at this hotel superior.

There is a Mexican Restaurant (Chil), an International Cuisine restaurant (Blue) which includes a “lobster” menu, an Asian restaurant (Tainan) and also the Blue Grill. You can also enjoy a beach BBQ prepared by the Chef after he picks fresh fish from the boat that pulls up on the beach!

For some adult atmosphere you can enjoy an authentic taste of Mexico at the Agavero Tequila Lounge which even has a frozen bar top and over 30 varieties of tequila served straight, frozen or mixed into tasty margaritas! Or how about a little afternoon shade on a swinging bed at another bar. If you choose to spend your time on the beach there is beach butler service and plenty of beach beds to relax on.

This resort is also available for weddings – just 1 wedding per day. The room categories are Superior Room, Deluxe Room and Azul Suite. The suite is perfect for honeymoons – it has luxurious features including a hydro jet tub for 2, aromatherapy menu, private balcony with lounge chairs…perfect for enjoying the sunset together.
